Hear Fort Worth Day at the State Fair of Texas

TRVR? – Performing at 1 p.m.

An independent artist known for introspective, relatable, and wholesome songwriting, TRVR? found the spotlight at 16 with a Top 24 finish on American Idol. Inspired by folk icons like John Denver and Bob Dylan, he has since opened for the Jonas Brothers and built a devoted following around his heartfelt, story-driven songs.

Mollie Danel – Performing at 3 p.m.

Named Fort Worth Weekly’s 2026 Female Vocalist of the Year, Mollie Danel has developed a distinct voice and lyrical identity since her 2023 debut single “Unveiled.” Her June 2026 EP Sunshine Girl confronts mental health, loss, and doubt with hard-won hope, earning comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Carole King.

Matthew McNeal – Performing at 5 p.m.

Alongside longtime collaborator Andre Black, Matthew McNeal has released five studio albums including HIGHLONESOME, which recently won the 2026 JAMBALOO Music Prize, crafting a modern analog sound that blurs genre lines. Together they have built a style unmistakably representative of modern Texas music, all while running their own studio and record label.

.Marcel. – Performing at 7:30 p.m.

Singer-songwriter .Marcel. pairs sultry R&B crooning with rapid-fire, rhyme-based prose, earning a reputation for slow-burning tracks of remarkable sonic depth. His latest album, .ruth., features a guest appearance from fellow Fort Worth artist Leon Bridges and showcases his gift for turning vulnerable, late-night moods into richly textured songs that linger long after.

All of the artists will perform at the State Fair of Texas’ Bud Light Stage (near the Cotton Bowl® Stadium). Live entertainment is free with the purchase of a general admission ticket. For more details regarding Hear Fort Worth Day or the fair at large, visit bigtex.com.
