FWSO: Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman
Friday, April 11 | 7:30pm
Wagner’s opera The Flying Dutchman is a eerie tale of redemption through love, set in the fearsome world of a ghost sea captain. To close out the symphonic season, the FWSO has assembled an all-star vocal cast and chorus to bring this spectral story to life in sharp relief, with all the tempestuousness and drama of Wagner’s music distilled in a special semi-staged production. Before each symphonic concert, FWSO Principal Keyboard Buddy Bray offers a pre-concert lecture to dive deeper into the works, their history, and other fun concert-related facts. Bachtales with Buddy is free for all ticket holders. WAGNER: The Flying Dutchman Robert Spano, conductorBACHTALES WITH BUDDY | 1 Hour Before Concert
